Overview
In this microcredential participants will review, evaluate and apply practical approaches to language policy and planning. With a focus on language revitalisation and maintenance language contexts, participants will consider the development, implementation and evaluation of language policy and planning practices, through critiquing case studies and applying policy and planning approaches to programs and initiatives that are relevant to their own language contexts.
This microcredential will be of interest to people working in community language programs, NGOs, schools and education providers, as well as language learners and language advocates, and anyone with an interest in language.
The 6-week microcredential includes a combination of a 1-day F2F/online workshop and self-paced online learning content.

- Understand practical aspects of implementing language planning initiatives, and develop strategies for effective implementation
- Critically examine and describe criteria for evaluating the successes of language policy and planning
