I took six students to the On-Country program and also got some reflections from the supervisor of the English class especially designed for our students. The On-Country program was organised by experienced teaching and logistic staffs. Although our four nights of stay might be just a glance at Kakadu, with the warm support from CDU, our students became more and more active and less and less hesitant to speak up their thoughts in English. The nights of camping experience must have helped this greatly. I had an opportunity to see some of students' work in English class. Evidently, they showed their improvement in putting together their ideas and present comprehensively. After coming back to Japan, they successfully completed their individual projects. Our students' overall achievement in this program is an obvious indication of satisfaction from their experience.
