At the Northern Institute, our researchers are involved in developing short-form training and research-led programs to support capacity building in their research areas. Many of these offer a digital badge on completion, and some are accredited micro-credential offerings that are credit-bearing and can go towards further learning within Charles Darwin University.

Realist research and evaluation credentials

We have three new courses in realist research and evaluation methodology available in 2025 as micro-credentials or non-accredited short courses. Gain a solid grounding in realist philosophy of science, learn how to design and conduct a realist literature review and design and conduct a realist evaluation.
