Primary logo
Our name is one of our strongest assets, and it is important that we represent it in a consistent way. It represents our heritage and lays solid foundations for our future.

Logo usage and rules
Clear space
Proper use of clear space will give the CDU primary logo room to stand out and ensure visual clarity within any layout.
In order to create a simple clear space rule, we have set the width of the Charles Darwin University logo mark as the clear space grid unit. This measurement can then be used to determine whether there is enough clear space around the logo.
NOTE: The clear area around the CDU primary logo means no other logo or branding device can appear in this area.
Clear space unit is 1 x CDU logo width.
Minimum sizes
For print production, the examples here are the minimum sizes for the appearance of the CDU primary logo.
For digital applications, please use the following sizes as a guide only. If it is difficult to read the lettering on the logo, then you should increase the size of the logo until it is clear.
NOTE: Where a logo smaller than the minimum size is required please contact marketing@cdu.edu.au
Other logos
Reverse and monochromatic logo
Reverse logo
In situations where the CDU logo has to appear on a dark colour or even on the same corporate colour PMS 2765 background please use the reverse logo.
Monochromatic logo
When it is not possible to use the primary logo, default to the monochromatic logo.
No other colour is permitted, and all CDU primary guidelines apply to this logo.
Sponsorships and partnerships
To allow CDU to have equal exposure when paired with other logos ensure the minimum spacing rules are followed. Here is an example of a multiple logo arrangement with the CDU logo.
Use the CDU Coat of Arms for minimum spacing between logos.
