CDU uses social media platforms as a marketing and external communication and engagement tool. We also maintain relationships with our current students across social media channels.
Social media is managed on two levels:
- The Marketing, Media and Communications unit manages CDU’s corporate, central social media pages and provides the overarching strategy for the entire university
- Research Institutes, Colleges and some departments also have permission to run dedicated social media pages that connect back to CDU’s overarching strategy
Social media and CDU is guided by the following documents:
You’re encouraged to familiarise yourself with these documents if you wish to:
- start or manage an approved CDU social media page
- create content for an approved CDU social media page
- engage on social media as a CDU staff member.
Starting a new social media page
In line with CDU’s Social Media Policy, you will need to seek approval from the Marketing, Media and Communications unit to start a CDU-branded page on any social media network.
This includes Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Whatsapp, WeChat, Snapchat and all other social media platforms.
